Otago, New Zealand, 17th April 2021 – Pure Isolation Ltd (the “company” or “Pure Isolation” or “PI”) is pleased to announce they have completed their first “proof of concept” harvest, and lab-testing has confirmed they have met The New Zealand Minimum Quality Standard (NZMQS) for Medicinal Cannabis set by the Ministry of Health.

New Zealand’s Minimum Quality standard are based on International pharmaceutical quality standards and are among the strictest in the world.  Pure Isolation Ltd completed construction of their Phase 1 facility December 2020 and this was their first harvest since the facility become fully operational.

“It’s great to have met our target standards our first attempt” says John Breeze, co-founder of the company and Cultivation Director.  “We’ve learned so much already. Our process is about executing, collecting, and analysing the data, and using that data to drive better more consistent grows in the future.  This is an excellent starting point” says John.

The company is currently pre-revenue and is harvesting as a “proof-concept” and to begin collecting data, it says, it will use to deliver more consistent and higher quality results in the future.  “We operate a highly controlled environment, and employ largely automated growing practices… the result is we can be really scientific about our processes, and uses the data the sensors in our environment captures, to drive optimized growing practices“ says John.   The company has plans to significantly expand operations over the medium-term expanding their facility to approximately 2800 SQM with an annual cultivation capacity of 5,000 kg of pharmaceutical quality cannabis.

“We’re exploring production relationships with manufacturers both global and domestic” says Managing Direct Mike Breeze, “This harvest proves the quality of the Genetics, the systems and technology we’ve put in place.  Now we’re excited to continue to build the intelligence of our systems and prepare to scale”.
